A Bride’s Ultimate Wedding Day Accessory: The Veil

The veil is the most popular and traditional accessory for brides - many women say that they don’t really feel like a bride until they put one on! There is a variety of veils to choose from, ranging in styles, shapes and lengths.

1. Cage veils have a vintage look and are designed to frame the face.2. Cascade style veils are typically one layer of fabric cut so that it’s shorter in the front near your shoulders, and grows longer towardthe center of your back.3. Drop veils are the sheerest of veil options, as it is usually draped over the face before the wedding ceremony, and lifted by your new husband during.4. Mantilla style veils are cut so that the fabric gently curves around the shoulders in the front of the bride’s torso.5. Standard or classic cut veils usually consist of multiple layers and may be tailored in length and fullness.6. Bubble veils look just how they sound, with more volume toward the top so that the veil gently curves inward at the bottom.7. Garden veils are shorter in length, but not quite short enough to be considered a cage veil. 7. Half circle veils are just a little bit sassy, in my opinion! Typically shorter in length, dropping just below the shoulders, and cut so that it frames both sides of the bride’s face.

I think mine is #3… It was about that length and sheer so that you could see the detail of my dress in the back… but I’m wearing mine under my hair not above it..

I love this… the only problem is that I think that people wouldn’t know how to eat them… Like if I was by myself I would have no problem stuffing my face and making a mess but at something like a bridal shower you want something simple to eat…not a stack of cookies lol

Tried on this dress this weekend… And let me tell ya. It did not look good. It looked like I got stuffed inside a huge fluffy cloud. This picture makes the dress look really flat, but in reality it’s really puffy… legit.

OMG my dress is on sale!!! I want to go buy it now but I have to wait until the 27th!!!

I’m in the same boat! I’m having just cake at mine :)

I’m making my cake… It’s so expensive, especialy for something that only lasts a day…

Apparently you have to be a millionaire to throw a nice wedding…

…so instead of paying $50 a plate for mediocre food I’m having Jimmy Johns cater my reception. Who doesn’t like a sub? And who doesn’t like feeding 150 people for $300??

Today I talked to a couple florists and was disappointed to find that florists generally don’t work with poppies because they are only around for about 2 weeks in a season and they are hard to keep alive throughout the day… One florist said I could look at using silk flowers instead but that wasn’t my favorite option. I looked online and found out that the bouquet I fell in love with that was labeled “poppies” wasn’t poppies!! They were actually Anemones. They look so similar to poppies but come in all kinds of colors!!! So here are some Anemones, not Poppies!!

Apparently the flowers I’ve been calling poppies are actually anemones!

I think this will be my “Something Old” that I wear…

My friends put together this video for Jared to see. Lucky - Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat, is the song Jared and I want to dance to at our wedding and I knew these two sang it at my school so I asked them if they would be interested and they were so excited they put a video together the same day! I love it! I hope Jared like it just as much as I do! It would be amazing to have them sing at our wedding!
